About the role

The Murrumbidgee Aged Care Network Co-operative is seeking an experienced and committed individual to take on the role of Co‑operative Secretary. This is a key governance position responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations including the Co‑operatives National Law and supporting the board in maintaining high standards of governance and administration.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain registers, records, and official co-operative documentation.
  • Coordinate board and member meetings, including agenda and meeting documentation preparation and minute taking.
  • Where required act as the primary liaison with regulators and stakeholders.
  • Receiving and processing membership applications.
  • Support the board in governance and procedural matters as required.

Skills and attributes

  • Strong understanding of governance and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-op members, board members and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to transparency.
