Murrumbidgee Workshop in Whitton - Group photo

On Tuesday, 13 August, Care Together’s Michael Pilbrow and Clare Fountain visited Whitton, a small town in Leeton Shire, NSW, to conduct a community stakeholder workshop for the Whitton Network Providers, as part of a larger workshop under the banner of the Rural, Remote and First Nations Aged Care Service Development Assistance Panel (SDAP).

The workshop provided an opportunity for local providers to deepen their understanding of co-ops and mutuals. It covered the values and principles that underpin these organisations, how they operate and the benefits they offer to members. Participants also explored various case studies from other care co-ops, gaining insight into how these models can be applied in practice.

The workshop was an important opportunity for aged care providers in the Murrumbidgee region as they explore options for collaboration in the future.
