Care Together meets with Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, Fijian Government and DFAT representatives

The BCCM and the Care Together team were honoured to host a meeting with the Fijian Government and DFAT representatives today to discuss the Pacific and Australian co-op and mutual sector’s interest in co-operating across national boundaries in our region, especially in the vital area of capacity building, trade and business entrepreneurship and social development.
Our meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, the Hon. Manoa Kamikamica, and esteemed colleagues from Fiji, and High Commissioner to Fiji and Special Envoy for the Pacific and Regional Affairs, His Excellency Ewen McDonald and DFAT colleagues was a positive exchange on Fiji’s commitment to co-operatives and the opportunities for collaboration and aspirations for deepening ties between the co-op movement in the Pacific in 2025 UN International Year of Cooperatives.
